The purposes and objectives of the Los Angeles Violoncello Society shall be:

a) To promote and enrich the art of cello playing; b) To provide a meeting ground for professional, amateur and student cellists, and others who are devoted to the art of cello playing;

c) To sponsor unique programs featuring varied aspects of cello playing; and

d) To further the artistic development of new generations of cellists.
